Ghostlight Studios will collaborate with Community Theatre of Greensboro to provide lighting and sound design for their upcoming production of Dreamgirls. The show will run from May 6th, 7th, 13th & 14th and May 8th & 15th at 7PM.

Full of onstage joy and backstage drama, Dreamgirls tells the rags-to-riches story of a 1960s Motown girl group, and the triumphs and tribulations that come with fame and fortune.

A trio of black female soul singers cross over to the pop charts in the early 1960s, facing their own personal struggles along the way – Deena, Lorrell, and Effie who began as a group called the Dreamettes. They start as three talented, close friends and gradually sharpen their act and rename themselves “The Dreams”. Little do they know of the hard, competitive world of show business.
